| Flower colors | Petals and sepals are mahogany or green and the lip is rose purple bordered in rose or white. Sometimes it can have dark spots on the sepals or petals. |

| Comments | This species has just been described by Campacci & Vedovello in the magazine of Círculo Paulista de Orquidófilo, in 1983 however it was already known by some orchid cultivators as a variety of Cattleya bicolor. |
| Colorido das flores | Pétalas e sépalas são marrons-acastanhadas (ocre) ou verde e o labelo é púrpura com bordas brancas ou rosadas. Algumas vezes, apresenta pintas escuras nas sépalas e pétalas. |

| Condições requeridas | É tolerante ao calor e prefere uma luminosidade intensa com muito boa ventilação. Em seu habitat, cresce em altitude de 800 a 1.000m acima do nível do mar, onde há 2 periodos de frio e umidade intensa separados por um período de calor e seca. Nesta altitude, a temperatura noturna é sempre amena. Esta espécie pode se reproduzir a partir de seu caule tipo cana. |

| Comentários | Esta espécie só foi descrita por Campacci & Vedovello na revista do Círculo Paulista de Orquidófilo, em 1983 mas já era conhecida de alguns cultivadores como uma variedade da Cattleya bicolor. |
