Cattleya trianae var. amesiana

Flower colors	The sepals and petals are white and shaded with a faintest pink tone. The lip has the same color with a light lilac-pink colored frontal lobe (a delicate pinkish blotch). The throat is yellow.
Number of flower for spike	From two to four flowers.
Flower size	From 16 to 20cm across but it can reach 22cm.
Preferred conditions	It needs intermediate to cool conditions and indirect light. Water well during the growth period but it should have a restrict dry period until the floral buds emerge from the sheath.
Season of bloom	From May to August (Later fall and winter in South hemisphere).
Origin	Colombia (South America).
Comments	It is also known ´"Flor de Mayo" (May Flower), in Colombia.

Colorido das flores	As pétalas e as sépalas são brancas sombreadas de rosa. O labelo tem a mesma e lóbulo frontal é rosa lilás claro, na verdade uma delicada mácula rosada. A garganta é amarela.
Número de flores por haste	De duas a quatro flores.
Tamanho da flor	De 16 a 20cm de diâmetro mas pode atingir 22cm.
Condições requeridas	Precisa de temperado ou frio e luz indireta. Regar bem durante o período de crescimento mas com uma redução drástica logo depois até que os botões florais saiam da espata.
Época da floração	De maio a julho.
Origem	Colômbia.
Comentários	Em seu país natal é chamada "Flor de Mayo".
