Flower colors	The petals and sepals are reddish or reddish-rose. The lip has the same color however the tip is darker.

Flower size	Between 12 and 15 cm across.
Preferred conditions	Considered as an easy plant to cultivate at sea level or in the mountains. It needs bright light which makes its leaves becoming light green, almost yellow however it can bloom in a more shade place. During the growth period it needs to be well watered but a rest period before flowering is very important.
Season of bloom	It blooms an early Autumn but it can bloom during the summer.
Origin	Brazil (States of Alagoas, Ceará, Paraíba and Pernambuco) occurring since 500 until 1000 m altitude as epiphyte and also as rupiculous.
Comments	This variety can also present an entirely purple lip.

Colorido das flores	As flores são avermelhadas ou rosa-avermelhadas, o labelo é da mesma cor porém possui a parte mediana mais escura.
Número de flores por haste	Em geral, três por haste.

Condições requeridas	Considerada como uma espécie de fácil cultivo seja a nível do mar ou nas montanhas. Precisa de muita luz fazendo com que as suas folhas tornem-se verde claro, tipo folha de alface, no entanto, floresce também com menos luz. Durante o período de crescimento precisa de rega intensa, mas um período de repouso antes da floração é muito importante.
Época da floração	Início do outono mas pode florescer durante o verão.
Origem	Brasil ( nos estados de Alagoas, Ceará, Paraíba e sPernambuco) ocorrendo a partir 500 até 1.000 m de altitude tanto como epífita como rupícula.
Comentários	Esta variedade pode apresentar o labelo totalmente púrpura.
