Dendrobium lindleyi

Flower colors	Yellow-orange short-life flowers.
Number of flower for spike	A well cultivated plant produces from 1 to 3 inflorescences by pseudobulb bearing many flowers, covering all the support.
Flower size	The delicate and paper-like flowers have approximately 3cm across but it can reach 5cm.
Preferred conditions	Intermediate to warm conditions. It should be protected from the strong light during the summer. Water often during the summer and reduce it from the autumn until mid-spring. It seems to like be cultivated in a slabs rather than a pot. It doesn't like to be disturbed so replant it only when strictly necessary. In its habitat, it grows (sometimes exposed to the sun) since 500m until 1.400/1.500m above the sea, however it can be easily cultivated in warmer conditions.

Comments	It is better known as Dendrobium aggregatum although Brieger has transferred it to the genus Callista under the name Callista aggregata. There is a similar but smaller plant which bears less and smaller flowers called Dendrobium jenkinsii or Dendrobium aggregatum var. jenkensii or even Callista aggregata var. jenkensii

Colorido das flores	Amarelo-alaranjadas e são tão finas que parecem feitas de papel . São de curta duração.
Número de flores por haste	Uma planta bem cultivada pode produzir de uma a três inflorescências por pseudobulbo carregando muitas flores, cobrindo todo o suporte do planta.
Tamanho da flor	Suas delicadas flores e possuem aproximadamente 3cm. de diâmetro mas pode atingir até 5cm.
Condições requeridas	Pode ser cultivada em clima intermediário ou quente. Durante os meses de verão deve ser protegida do sol. A partir de meados da primavera e no verão, a rega deve ser intensa. Com a chegada do outono, diminuir a intensidade da rega e aumentar a luminosidade até a 1a. metade da primavera. Parece prefirar placas no lugar de vasos. Não gosta de ser manipulada, assim, só replante quando estritamente necessário. Em seu habitat, vegeta, muitas vezes exposta ao sol, desde 500m até 1.400/1500m de altitude, no entanto, floresce muito bem a nível do mar.

Comentários	Em l992, Brieger transferiu esta espécie de gênero e passou a chamá-la Callista aggregata, no entanto continua mais conhecida como Dendrobium aggregatum. Existe uma outra planta de menor de porte mas bastante parecida com esta, com flores bem semelhantes, menores e em menor número, chamada Dendrobium jenkinsii ou Dendrobium aggregatum var. jenkensi ou ainda Callista aggregata var. jenkensii.
