Epidendrum radicans

Flower colors	The petals and sepals are orange and the lip is yellow blotched with red.
Number of flower for spike	Many for cluster (more than 10).
Flower size	About 2 cm. across.
Preferred conditions	It can be cultivated as terrestrial or as epiphytic. It grows in full sun and needs room. It can be cultivated in intermediate or warm environment. The substrate must be kept wet but well drained. During the period of active growth, apply weekly a higher-nitrogen fertilizer with 30-10-10 formula and a higher-phosphorus fertilizer during the three months before the blooming season.
Season of bloom	Summer but it can bloom more than once time a year.
Origin	From Mexico to Peru.
Comments	It has been confused with Epidendrum ibaguense due to the similarity of the flowers.

Colorido das flores	As pétalas e sépalas são laranjas e o labelo é amarelo pintalgado de vermelho.
Número de flores por haste	Muitas flores por cacho (mais de 10).
Tamanho da flor	Mais ou menos 2 cm. de diâmetro.
Condições requeridas	Tem sido cultivado como espécie terrestre e epífita. Vegeta bem exposto ao sol em clima temperado ou quente. Manter o composto úmido porém bem drenado. Requer bastante espaço. No período de crescimento, aplicar uma fórmula rica em nitrogênio e durante a fase que antecede a floração, aplicar uma fórmula fosfatada.
Época da floração	Verão, mas pode florescer mais de uma vez ao ano.
Origem	Do México ao Peru.
Comentários	Tem sido confundido com o Epidendrum ibaguense por causa da semelhança das flores.
