Flower colors	In general, the sepals and petals are white and suffused with pink. The lip is white and dark purple blotched at the base or spread over the entire surface.
Number of flower for spike	Just one.
Flower size	8 cm across.
Preferred conditions	It needs intermediate to warmer conditions and must be well watered during the growth period and a slightly dry period during the winter and after flowering. Fertilizing weekly with a balanced formula during growth period is recommended. Three months before blooming season, apply a phosphate one. Concerning the luminosity, it can be cultivated under the same conditions as Cattleya species. Good ventilation.
Season of bloom	Summer.
Origin	Brazil. We don't have any information about the occurrence of this variety, we just know that it comes from the state of Rio de Janeiro but, perhaps, it occurs in other states too. The plant type occurs in the states of Espírito Santo, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo.

Colorido das flores	As sépalas, pétalas e labelo são brancos. Há uma mácula roxa no labelo que pode ser claramente definida ou se expandir sobre a superfície.

Condições requeridas	Pode ser cultivada em clima mais frio ou quente e rega freqüente durante o período de crescimento com uma ligeira redução durante o inverno e depois da floração. Recomenda-se o uso de um adubo balanceado, semanalmente, durante a fase de crescimento e um adubo fosfatado nos três meses que antecedem a floração. No que se refere à luminosidade, pode ser cultivada junto às espécies de Cattleya. Boa ventilação.
Época da floração	Verão.
Origem	Não temos informação sobre os locais de ocorrência desta variedade a não ser que ocorre no estado do Rio Janeiro, talvez esteja presente em outros estados também. A planta-tipo ocorre nos estados da Bahia, Espírito Santo, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo.
