Above of all, you must know that whatever this place is, orchids always need humidity. If there isn't enough, you must provide it artificially.

First of all, you must know what kind of
TEMPERATURE
you have in the place chosen.


HOT (yearly temperature between 15oC and 35oC and just a little variation between day and night)

INTERMEDIATE (yearly temperature between 15oC and 28oC, with an important variation between day and night. The seasons are really marked)

COLD (yearly temperature between 0o C and 15o C and with variation between day and night).





















1) Place the pots over a tray which must be filled with gravel or pallets and 2-3 cm of water.
Make sure that the pots don't make direct contact with the water and check daily the level.










2) If you use suspended
open-work baskets, rang a tray
above it (at about 8cm beneath)
and fill it with water.








  3) If you cultivate the orchids in staging, put shade plants beneath it.
